about abs

Committees and Initiatives

The American Brachytherapy Society (ABS) recently went through strategic planning where we identified our mission and goals. Supporting these goals we created several councils with specific missions and we are looking for members to join the new councils to increase the representation of our members and help the ABS work towards being the leading authority in Brachytherapy standards, research, education, and training that benefit cancer patients and improve their quality of life. Each committee has its own mission and set of annual goals to help achieve this mission.

Serving on an ABS council furthers your professional development by providing leadership experience, expanding your professional network, and strengthening your ties within the specialty. What's more, ABS Council members are directly involved in identifying new opportunities, guiding projects, and offering their expertise...so you will have a direct hand in helping us achieve our goals.
